Qualifications for Assessors

There are now four qualifications for assessors:

a) the Award in Understanding the principles and practices of Assessment.

This is a single unit, which addresses the knowledge and understanding required for assessment.
We recommend that you take this Award first, and we deliver it via a workbook, adviser and web-resource support, and an assessment.

b) the Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment.

This is a two-unit award, where one unit is the Knowledge unit, and the other focusses upon your work in assessing candidates in the workplace.

We advise and support you as you collect your evidence to demonstrate your competence in this second unit.

c) the Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement.

This is a two-unit award, where one unit is the Knowledge unit, and the other focusses upon your work in assessing candidates who are working with vocational qualifications.
We advise and support you as you collect your evidence to demonstrate your competence in this second unit.

d) the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.

This is a three unit award made up of the Knowledge unit, and the additional units from both the Workplace and the Vocational awards.
By working through the three individual Awards with us, you will automatically achieve the Certificate.

We are currently working with candidates and registering candidates nationally - do contact us to see how we can help you. over the next few weeks.
