Project "Production"

One of Europe's largest health organisations is using Theatre techniques to train their newer managers in project leadership, teamworking, meetings skills and organisational communications, in an innovative context.

Managers are given time to plan and co-ordinate a project. This project involves mounting a full scale stage production, involving action on-stage, stage construction, set, props, costume, makeup, music, sound and lighting.

The production has to be planned and organised in the alloted timeframe, using project planning techniques, and then the plan implemented - a live performance in front of an audience.

Learning points are reviewed at strategic points in the programme, to fit with the intended learning outcomes, and feedback given both in terms of progress of the project, and to enhance personal and team development.
